Manufacture

When 'off the shelf' fitted furniture was introduced, traditional hand crafted furniture had to take a back seat. Today however, hand crafted furniture has never been more sought after. Here at Thwaite Holme, we believe that for a truly efficient kitchen or bedroom, glowing with quality and charm, only skilled craftsmen can give the attention to detail required, making your home unique and avoiding the uniformity of 'standard' fitted furniture.

Every single kitchen or bedroom is made to measure at our workshop near Dalston. Thwaite Holme’s unique approach to the manufacture of furniture means that a variety of woods can be used. Whether the traditional look of natural oak, the colour and warmth of natural ash or the more modern look of beech and maple you can be sure that your new furniture will transform your home. All wood is carefully selected to ensure it can withstand the heat and moisture of a busy modern day kitchen, whilst still maintaining its natural beauty.

To ensure a perfect finish to all work created, three coats of lacquer are applied (rubbed down with fine sandpaper between each coat) before it leaves the workshop. This gives the wood a protective layer and a perfect sheen.

To complement the fitted units, Thwaite Holme can offer a wide range of sinks, worktops and appliances, from modern stainless to traditional range cookers, Belfast sinks and granite worktops.

Installation

The installation of your new kitchen or bedroom will usually take three to four days because of the care and attention to detail taken by our own qualified fitters. Every step will be taken to ensure little or no disruption is made to your daily routine.
